Finally met the boys to celebrate my belated birthday.
Met them for some chillax session @ 112 then off we went to MBS!
Time really pass by fast when u are with good company.
It was a long wait for this day honestly but it's all worth it cos these boys are like my closest, part of my family and my life. *sniffs*
If 1 day I were to walk the aisle, I'm thinking to get them walk beside me!!!
Anyway I suggested The Rise @ MBS cos' I went pass the buffet restaurant a week ago and it was really cosy! Perfect for a bday dinner I think despite the jaw dropping price to pay per pax.
I love the extensiveness of the variety of different stations offered but the individual dishes' quality is kinda lack lustre of MBS's standards.
Overall dining experience was good for everyone though but we were unsure if we were to head back again.
BUFFET LUNCH $58++ (adult) $24++ (child)
Actually BB is quite photogenic.
His face is super symmetrical :)
We've requested for a nice cosy sofa seat area.
Since it was running quite a full house situation,
they put us @ the lounge without hesitation
(which was really great cos' knowing we'd be staying till late,
the lounge will be a better spot to people-watch and chill after dinner).
Thumbs up for the arrangements!
The oysters are always first to be wiped out as usual. :(
I've had like just 5 oysters in total
Laksa Station
I asked for some plain laksa soup with bean sprouts, without noodles.
The soup was super flavorful and yummy
The Savouries
I had 2 rounds of the wasabi chicken cos' it tasted so good
Fresh Fruits Station
Cold Cuts
I totally skipped these cos' it's processed meat :p
My Favourite Salad Station
hmm… not that extensive I must say but still ok for me
My all time fav sake sashimi (Salmon)
Sushi Station
Gee. the variety is boring.
Soup Station.
Apart from pork ribs and pumpkin soup which I totally skipped,
there was this walnut soup which I tried and it tasted really weird.
yucks
The Hot Station (LIVE frying)
This had to be one of the highlight for the dinner.
The prawn n fish fritters was fresh and tasted really good.
Meat Station
Totally skipped this cos' I'm easily full with protein intake but it looked yummy
Bread Station
I thought the variety was quite extensive.
It'll sure delight Angel Joyce n bf very much. lol
Managed to snap my 1st plate despite my hunger calls.
And the rest was history.
Selective eating as always.
DESSERTS!!!
Tried a piece of moon cake..
I love traditional moon cakes w egg yolks
Didn't really like the texture of the crust cos' it's turned quite moist instead of fluffy.
Chey I thought MBS's moon cakes should be good?
Skipped these...
Had a portugese egg tart. :)
Hmmm…. a tad too hard on the crust.
The soufflé is pretty $$$$$ and the texture is good.
Creme brûlée is kinda disappointing though… I was expecting a little more oomph :)
The ice-cream is a great round up for the night fortunately.
We're always the first to arrive and last to leave.
1 last shot before we hit the road and bid goodbye to Ad who's gg get back to pack up at work :)
Ditch could see the rolling eyes of our cameraman when I asked for this shot.
LOLLLL… I find it funny.
Posing with an "Agnes" everybody! Tsk…
I'll get slammed if I post this on FB and tag KP.
Ditch and I kept laughing about my evil thought. :'D
wahahaha..
Next,
Off to NUAH @ KP's cosy place.
Hoping for the day to come when I can own my own condo...
I seriously have no idea why I used these images as wallpapers.
Look at those muscles.
Love the night.
XOXO…
Will be patiently waiting for my C-pressies in Oct!!!
