On the day we were on leave.

Thought we try out the highly acclaimed Dim Sum @ Tim Ho Wan 添好运

 but looking at the horrendous queue at 11.30am…. we thought we'd not wait for it cos' we were both super hungry already. Looked around the new wing in Plaza Singapura and I suggested we try out an authentic looking Jap joint which was really small. I think their seating capacity is only 20 pax. 

Tsukada Nojo

This turned out to be a serendipidous discovery indeed.

To think only Ipudo Ramen has the yummiest ramen, we sort of discovered it's competitor.

Menu is nothing extravagant. Nothing much other than Ramen on the menu… and their signature NABE only served during dinner. So we ordered this Salad which was super awesome and appetizing esp. when it was served chilled. Just lettuce with some caesar-like sauce and some plum strips.

Our Ramen came.

Tori Nikomi Soba (Spicy Hot) $16.80

Ingredients were served on a separate dish.

Totally loved the idea of "knowing what i'm eating".

The noodles were great, broth 很入味.

The next is a MUST-order dish.

It's famous in Japan and in TN too.

Nikumaki Onigiri

(Rice balls wrapped with Pork in Special Sauce).

Inexpensive too.. about $3.50 per pc and is really filling.

The queue was crazy, I thought they were giving free macaroons.
