We were at Tung Lok for Mother's Day's lunch on the eve.
Goodness!
Traffic jam from Eng Neo exit all the way to Turf City.
It would have taken another 45mins to reach if we followed the queue religiously, luckily Ad knew his way well due to his weekly Futsal sessions here, so we made a detour on the main Bt Timah road and managed to reach Turf City in time.
1st time I saw CROWD in Turf City.
Enjoyed our Tung Lok tim sum luncheon though my mood got affected by Ad on the way here just now. Seriously, you can never teach an angry man to be patient.
PFFFFFFT.
Anyway, we had the pleasure to walk around after lunch. The place is filled with lots of cafes, restaurants, kiddy palaces, schools and GIANT supermarket. LOL No wonder this place is getting more happening. Free parking some more.
Zhao+Eve, this is the place I was talking about, great for your BB Eva+Jav and spending your weekend afternoons.
For one reason that I would be back is…
PasarBella !!!! We walked past this place by accident. Was a serendipitous discovery indeed. The place was filled with many little joints. Saw bangers and mash, jumbo dogs, fresh oysters, seafood, organic stuff, wine and gourmet coffee. Didn't know it was the 1st day of opening cos the place was freaking crowded seh… but it ought to la… it was supposed to be a Pasar.
^^ Smile :P
I was never interested in macarons cos' I just find it's overpriced, not filling and mediocre of what's traditionally labelled "dessert". Maybe I've not tried 1 that was really good. Even when the Laduree hype arrived in Taka Singapore, M was all excited and raved so much about it to me, I wasn't at all turned on. $4.75/macaron is ABSURD. Anyway I decided to patronize this shop (Forgot its name, it's a small stall by the entrance/exit with a display of a variety of macarons).
1 macaron for $3
Expensive but it taste heavenly *Pistachio macaron
Pampering. Instant contentment. AWESOME.
Now I really understand what a good macaron taste like.
It's better than truffles or pralines!
I got back a dozen in the end as a gift for LL and Ad's sis.
Yummmmssss...
