As documented on my fb,
a mishap took place on Fri (yesterday) during lunch.
hmm.. ok this was what happened:
I ordered 3 sets of BBQ Saba fish + Rice that came with 3 small bowls of soup, so I prepared for 3 trays (1 tray for each person). Told my colleague that as I prepare for the trays but she said 2 trays were enough already… so she went away with 1st tray and i followed with 2nd tray that contained 2 hotplates + sauces.. So i laid the tray down to the table… she took out the 1st hot plate… then the 2nd hot plate… think it was too hot or oily, she dropped the hot plate and it touched my thigh before it dropped on the floor. Freak accident~ I used the tissue in my hands to rub away the sauce from my thigh, only to realize that my skin was burnt and i was rubbing on burnt skin and it tore! So painful :'( I quickly excused myself to clean the wound at the office washroom… then asked for first aid box but colleague told me they didn't have any… I thought I wanted to get some burn relief cream to apply from Watsons or 7-11 but thought it'd be better if I just get it from the clinic @ B2 since i'm covered for medical, so might as well la.
This was how it looked like as I was waiting for the Doc...
To this.. :'(
Yeah...
After consulting with the Doc, he's supposed to just give me a cream to apply…. so I went out to wait for my medication but I was called in again.
*ouch*
The thought of Doc applying cream on my wound felt good cos' I know it was disinfected with saline already… and I was in safe hands...
Then he took a plaster to apply on my wound.
Took another one…
and another…
and asked for the gauze… I was like… HUH?? So serious meh? It's not necessary right? Not so breathable right? Then he told me it's better to prevent bacteria from infecting it further. That was when the nurse asked me to open my legs wider so the Doc could do the wrapping. :S So embarrassing… it really didn't help when the Doc is so young. She then assured me the Doc did a very pretty wrap for me. She was amazed too.
(After my post on FB, when friends commented that the Doc didn't even cover me with a towel cos' I was wearing a short skirt, not pro, etc.. SIGH. I didn't think of these during the whole cleaning n bandage process. :( ARGGGHH. A friend even whatsapped me saying the Doc's like doing an upskirt. Wa lau… )
Haven't felt so freaked out for a long time.
Hope there's so scarring….
T_T
I miss this...
