It was a cool, rainy, no bfs Sunday.
We thought it was perfect day for us to do a no frills yet delicious breakfast.
After going through all the options, we settled for
Food For Thought
1 Cluny Road
Basement
(Singapore Botanical Gardens)
Tel: 6338 4848
8am-9pm
Angel booked the one at Queen Street at 10.30am but I conveniently drove to the branch at Botanical Gardens cos' I kept thinking she reserved a table at BG.
So we went ahead with the mistake and joined the crowd!
Singaporeans like to wake up early on a Sunday morning huh?
What I like about FFT is that they have the
All Day Breakfast menu from 8am-5pm
Scrambled Eggs and Toast with Butter Spread $7
(This combi is a must-have esp. when the toast is not the conventional ones. It is so thick and fluffy)
Garlic Mushrooms $3 (yummy!)
Chicken Sausages $4 (a tad too dry and overdone)
Banana and Walnuts Pancake
served with whipped cream and gula melaka sauce $10
(These 2 big 'plate-size' pancakes are really value-for-money with the generous amount of walnuts hidden within them. We could only finish 1 piece and we left the remaining piece untouched)
Wow, this look shouts!
Sweetness overdose :)
Sigh.
No pic of me cos' I was having a bloatfish day.
Super full, sleepy, half-dead…
That's what you will become after a heavy breakfast.
but we still went ahead with some early morning shopping in town yay!

Food For Thought (Part 2)
Sauteed Mushrooms $3
(as yummy as ever but he finds them bitter)
Fried Chicken Wings 3pc $5
(die die must try!)
Mushroom Soup $6
(Read my lips: SKIP this. This disappointing soup was tasteless albeit the yummy sautéed mushrooms they've had as sides)
Pomme Noisette (Hashbrown) $3
Basic Works (Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Butter Toast) $7
(this is the perfect size for me to get filled. The toast and scrambled eggs are a heavenly combo.)
Wana try HATCH next!
