Sent Sil and Jill to Animal Recovery Centre at Balestier for her due surgery. She's diagnosed Breast Cancer and her lumps on her underside has deteriorated.
Reached there at 12pm.. waited till 1.30pm before the Operation commenced with Dr. Ly. This was my 1st time there. Saw many other doggies & some cats there, some for cancer chemotheraphy, sterilisation and skin problems... Poor thing.. all sick pets :( After the surgery, Jill couldn't seem to stop crying. Think she's in so much pain after she's recovered from the sedatives & anaesthetic. Dr. Ly removed 4 bigger lumps from her but discovered that there was a continuation of lumps to her back. He diagnosed Jill with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
After settling the payment, we reached home to put Jill back to her bed. While we were unwrapping her from the blanket, we saw the big pool of blood on it.. seems wrong. So we rushed back to the clinic for Dr. Ly to check again... only to discover that Jill's blood vessels has burst and that her blood cannot clot well (ie. too thin). Should she has a loss of blood, we'll need to get a dog donor with blood type 1.1+. So they burnt her vessels to stop the bleeding, dressed her wound again, this time tighter so she won't bleed.
Spent 10hours at the clinic... It's not the time spent there... I just hope Jill will be well & can survive this ordeal.
