Do I look like my mum????

I used to think yes..

At a closer look at our features, I think we don't look alike.

Cos' when I'm introduced to my mum's customers n friends, their reactions were always "HUH? Your daughter?" (It can only mean.... HUH your daughter doesn't look like u... or.... HUH your daughter is 'not pretty') which is more true?

Actually these two pics don't do much justice to my mum's looks!

She's got much sharper nose, bigger eyes than mine at my age.

Which means......

I will age not as pretty as her now? LOL but I'm much much much more vain than her (EVERYONE AGREES), so I should not look bad when I grow old.... HOPE SO....

Brought mum out weeks ago on a lunch date to utilize my $30 cash vouchers from Crystal Jade. :)

Sometimes I complain to my mum about her dressing, the way she carries herself now... very auntie.... lol... She was my Angel and role model. I used to enjoy watching her dress up, apply her lipstick, draw her brows and blusher, blow & style her hair before she heads for work and drops me off in church...

She always retaliate by saying she's not like before... she doesn't need to makeup now to meet clients and she's getting old, no one to attract.... lol.... Though she isn't as radiant and elegant as before, I know and have seen her best side in those days and that will never fade away from my memories... :) FYI: Mum used to be a dancer for Jap association when young and was the 'school flower', don't play play.... If she would have opened her eyes a lil' bigger, she'd have married off to a wealthy family cos' her pursuers were all v rich and stable and not have chosen the most handsome in the league but xxxxx D*. LIFE..... isn't fair but is great if we know how to make the best out of it and enjoy to the max.

Heck care those who don't really matter and never contributed to your life. They don't know you a single bit and whatever is their comment, it weighs -ZERO and should be disregarded.... For those who matter, give respect to whatever they say but beware cos' there are bound to be some who you thought would care, but in the end disappoint you, cos' they would be always putting you down, be the least encouraging and the most eager to take advantage of you. They are morons, so just give them a SMILE and move on to the next on the list. Pareto's theory says it's the 20% that makes up your 80%. I swear by this & I love Dr. Lim, my SCM lec :)

This is the best pressie for her as always... :) Thanks all for your warm greetings for my Mum..... I'll do my best too, in whichever way I can. Happy Birthday Mum... With all respect to the most amazing woman who brought me into this earth, sheltered and cared for me like no other. ^^
