Morton's Wine Selection... They've got my favourite Cape Mentelle Shiraz! ^^ Ordered 1 of each..

The lovely server going through the cuts and fresh meats available... Thought she was speaking a tad too fast! I felt like I was in the plane and the stewardess doing the take-off safety demo LOL….

Tucked at our lil corner to observe the buzz going around on a cosy Sat evening…

Honestly speaking, I was struggling with two options this time round. It's either getting a gift or an explosive meal (something that BOOMZ lol). Morton's was THE apparent choice on my list (other than Equinox n Blu) but after reading the reviews and accolades, I was already sold. =) Specially arranged for the corner booth seat so we could sit comfortably จะได้นั่งชีดๆ เขียนกันด้วย and ordered the highly acclaimed Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake so they could prepare the candles.... kiasu dao..... :p

As much as I thought this dining escapade could bring a smile to the birthday boy's face, he was too tensed to even feel excited. The usual Demon came... truly, it wasn't what I had expected on such a well-planned evening. The intensity of stress was directly transferred to me when temper kicks in, I tried to keep my cool and rationales in place. I wouldn't want to spoil the night... I drowned myself with wine in my teary eyes. How I wish I could finish my meal, my appetite just dropped. What an experience…

Anyway, thank u Cape Mentelle….

The extensive menu :) Go for the Ribeye + Hot Chocolate Cake. The rest is history.

As much as Morton's being an exquisite dining place, it is still very much a casual dining restaurant. (FYI: Dresscode: No Slippers, No Shorts - that's all!) C'mon, it's American. Don't fret! U can peel, cut, pinch this loaf all u want.... I can't understand why some people have to stress over the way they eat. CHILLAX.

The Onion Loaf is bigger than my head. WTF!

We ordered 1 Lobster Bisque... and they helped us portion it for sharing. :) This pic was a portion for each of us. Can U imagine how huge the portion would have been for 1???? Hmm... I would not order this soup again though it's really yummy. I'm not a FAN for soup that is served in a plate... It gets cold damn fast and the cream just *coagulates (*my imagination tsk tsk…).

My main course "Grilled Salmon"... I wanted something healthier.. (RED meat is not good for me u know? Blood Type A?).. I know, I shouldn't, I was just not in the mood for beef that day la. =)

I knew something more fatty n tender will be ideal for man's taste buds, actually mine too cos' I hate biting into veins and chewing too much. Ordered for him a Ribeye Steak, USDA Prime (Medium-Rare). It can't get any better than this slab for guys :) ชิ้นใหญ่มากๆๆๆๆ

This was DAMN good. The pic couldn't do any justice for this Ribeye. This was the best slab I have ever eaten in my entire life. (I feel so hungry now as I am blogging here...) I miss this Ribeye so much. No more Salmon for me next time. I will go straight for the BEEF and crabcakes. No time for rubbish. \m/

*Though it didn't go well with my red wine, it made me a happier girl with the warm fudge that oozes out from the moist sponge cake, every single bite with the ice-cream is just so yummay!*

See how I get drowned with my Cape Mentelle. Shiraz is a must for the extra kick that I needed.

The GM gave me a big discount :)

I'm really happy for u for your own achievements now...
I was over ahead of u when we met...
