"I Do" Garden Weddings 2009, Botanic Gardens

First, let's Congrats to Steve & Wifey!

As we thought, this was just another tea reception cum solemnisation. Never did we realise this was a total Mega event "I Do" Garden Weddings 2009, Botanic Gardens. When I say Mega, I do expect Quality. This event freaked me & Ad out totally. For once, we came to Botanic Gardens in a carpark so full till the outdoor and we had no fkg idea that 168 couples and their guests were all at Botanic Gardens with us! Ok, it could have been a really memorable experience if this was nicely organised, good no. of support staff, more shelters, more dining areas, air-coolers, guides. Helo, we are all DRESSED up for the wedding. So, on a negative note, this Mega Wedding wasn't at all exclusive & enjoyable at all. MESSY logistics.... no privacy at all... everyone incld the couples gota be under the extreme heat (luckily no rain) and everything was held out in the open.

We couldn't find Steve & guys... the crowd was just Mad..

Ad was supposed to be in a white T-shirt & a casual jacket. He changed into a Polo T cos' the weather was really crazy.

There were nicely decorated buggies to ferry couples to their respective Pavillions for the solemnisation ceremony. Guests? Gota walk......... hee.

I dun mind the walk cos' I dun sweat easily.

Finally... we met Steve!

This Pavillion will host 9 couples until 6+pm with the same JP.

The Nightmare begins...

When all the guests have to squeeze into 1 Tentage for the buffet snacks n refreshments. We've gota get the COUPONS from the couples to get in just to eat. Hmm.. It's a LONG, irritable squeeze to the end of the tentage just for 1 plastic cup of drinks... long queue everywhere. It's kinda strange to see Brides & Grooms queueing up for food here & there in sweat.

Only 2 service staff at the DRINKS counter to serve 168couples + their guests for some rose syrup drinks!!! MADNESS..

I saw 1 Groom requesting at the top of his voice for 2 cups of water from this server who didn't even seem to hear & bother... Couldn't blame her anyway. She's kinda short-handed I know. In the end, some of the guests gota D.I.Y & help her. :( No mood to eat, drink whatsoever in such a congested place...

Made my way to Huiyi's wedding at Amara Sanctuary, Sentosa...

Wanted to take some pics with her during the cocktail... but didn't see her. Didn't get to stay throughout cos' I was seriously uncomfortable in a ALL unfamiliar zone with her family & friends...I dropped my Angbao & left. :)

We went to watch Phobia 2!
