Thailand - State of Emergency

PM Samak announced Thailand in particular, Bangkok, state of emergency on 2nd Sept cos' of the bloody clash between the two Mobs (PPP & PAD) that resulted in a few deaths & many protesters injured. Just wonder if this was the only way PAD can get Samak to step down by protesting at the Gov House... +.+ (can still remember the coup de tat 3 years ago when I was so involved in the situation worrying about aui. A similar one has to happen now. When will Thai's economy be stable again?)

Hmm.. wonder if I should go on with my Bkk trip next week. Hmm, most prob I will continue my plan w KP & FR cos' our tickets n service apartment has been booked and confirmed already. Checked with the peeps there and reliable sources too, it has been normal & life as usual. >> 1. Just need to stay vigilant there...2. avoid Government House area (the junction of Phisanulok and Nakhon Pathom Roads just south of Dusit Garden), 3. don't wear yellow or red, 4. don't carry too much valuables, 5. and also register with MFA b4 leaving.
