Just came back from NUH to visit Ad's sis for the 2nd time.
She was admitted for an Op to remove her Ovary cyst last Wed. Went to see her. Saw Ad's Mum, Anutie Annie, Ling and Ad's Mama. Saw the polaroid pic of the cyst that was removed... GOSH.. it was as big as a thai coconut! She was on drip and looked ghastly.
On Fri when we all thought she was recovering, she was reported unwell on Fri that she felt pain and was moaning non-stop. After a checkup, it was found that her bladder was apparently too full and had in a way, 'hit' her wound...
Sat was ok... more rest for her.. (when I had my flea mkt at Tanglin Mall).
Then on Sun, she felt pain again... This time round, she felt a sharp pain at her wound.. and was really weak... Then found out that she was supposed to do a scan yesterday! but the nurses forgot all about it and began to feed her when she was supp to go on empty stomach for the scan. HOW CAN THEY!
Today (Mon), she felt pain again and even fainted @ the toilet (fortunately, Nurse was beside her). After the doc's diagnosis, the pain was due to a blood clot at the wound and had to schedule for another OP tomorrow (Tues) and had to go on a blood transfusion as she was low in blood level. Poor thing...
Saw Ad's mum's eyes so red after crying... aiyo.. I felt like crying too. Many ppls came to visit her.. even her Director. Ad's sis was really pale and voimitted cos of the discomfort during the transfusion... made her cold too. Ad told me side effect of the blood transfusion maybe that she will be shivering for the rest of her life cos' using someone else's blood can cause such complications... EEEE...scary.. :'(
Luckily all her hosp bills will be paid by her company... if not this long process of waiting and suffering will be bound to cause more pain after being discharged!!!
To think that all is settled after the removal of her cysts...
Hai... that's life. Told Mum about Ad's sis... Mum's advise to all of us is "Dun spoil your health cos' health is more valuable than wealth". Damn.. I should start quiting 'IT'!
