Happy Loy Krathong Day !

The festival takes place on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month when the water level is high and the climate is cooler. Participants ask water spirits to sail away their troubles in their krathongs, which are containers traditionally made from banana leaves and carrying offerings of incense, lotus flowers and small money. "Loy" means "to float" and a "Krathong" is a lotus-shaped vessel made of banana leaves. The Krathong usually contains a candle, three joss-sticks, some flowers and coins.

Went to Kallang River with B to Loy our Krathongs thanks to the great weather. Joe & Serene came to join us as well. It was an amazing sight and place to be at. U'll see all kinds shapes n sizes of krathongs floating on the river and litted up in the dark. Due to the wind, our candle flame extinguished but we waited for a while to let it flow.







Afterwhich, we decided to rest our tired feet and stomach at Oasis at about 9.30pm. After MUCH consideration, we decided to switch to have some chilli crabs at No Signboard! Orderd some mee goreng to go along with it too. Tastes better than Jumbo & Long Beach. Yumm Yumm.. And dinner was done at 11pm being the last customer. Damn Good Food at a Damn 'GOOD' Price.
