BB was on leave and he came to send me to the airport after a uber rush dinner @ home *Sorry* Departed on 18th Thurs, and wana compliment on the Swiss Air experience cos' it was really value for money. The ride was a pleasure at $248. There was no need to queue in advance b4 the gate or take the shuttle bus to n fro the airplane. Every seat was accompanied by a blanket n pillow just like other business & economy carrier. The meal was fixed so you couldn't choose and drinks/alcohol served too. :) Nah.... air stewardnesswas a mix of Swedish & Thai. :> URM.. CMI!
Touched down Bkk & off we went to Samran Place abt 250bht from Airport (Eve & Zhao take note)... Its a small hotel by the main road, not fantastic from the look of it. Restaurant is located at the hotel front just when u enter it(so wierd..) then the Front Desk. Room was clean n spacious (compared to First House). keke.. Went to Booze straight after that and stayed till 2am. Didn't really danced cos' I felt like having two Bodyguards beside me (Joe & John) or was it that I was feeling tired. haha. Maybe the company wasn't right for clubbing would have been better if I went with my Gfs... Joe wasn't really a drinker so after 3 rounds of whiskey coke, he tak boleh tahan and told us his heart was thumping fast. Better slow down huh. Then we went for supper b4 getting back to the hotel. Lotsa food around the place.. left and right. Nice place 'till now'.
19th Fri: Woke up to meet J&J then went to Erawan shrine to pray, Central for bfast and Siam for shopping. I was half the time alone shopping cos' wouldn't be very nice to ask the loongs to shop with me and see gal's stuff. Weather was intolerable then cos' stuffy at Siam. Just got a music book, 1 Tshirt, 1 pair of earrings and did my nails for 250bht. Then went to MBK to meet up with my Burmese friend Myo. He treated me for Swensen's ice-cream b4 escorting back to the BTS station at my hotel. Didn't think much of it walking back to the hotel alone then carrying my bag and 1 music book in a plastic bag. Came down to meet J&J after my bath to go BTS to pick up Iu together.
Upon meeting up with Iu whilst walking, I was "robbed" by 2 guys on Motorbike. They rode beside me and snatched away my MNG handbag with my CANON camera, SGH E500 handphone, driving licence & 2500bht & some makeup kits. :( I was too shocked to react then.. otherwise, I would have given them a Bruce Lee's Flying Kick. Iu called for the police and all I did was to keep thinking of what else was in the bad and afraid to call BB to tell him. Sure kena left-right-centre-up-side-down one. Anyway I still pluck up some leftover courage from the shock to tell him... Guess it was the act of God, he didn't scold me! *HENG AR* (EEW normally he would!) Luckily he didn't if not, I would perhaps start to feel sour & cry or become defensive and start a quarrel. *Thank God* After some briefing by Iu to the policeman, we were escorted to Payathai Police Station in their truck to make a report. 1st time in a police truck. Felt quite funny cos' I was the victim! Reached and saw 1 policeman eating banana. Who would be moreo insensitive enough to ask us if we want to eat bananas. Hmmm... I wonder where did their professionalism disappear to. Think Govt must have really paid them peanuts to eat bananas everytime. Portrayed such a bad image to us, foreigners. Damien, Kung & Andrew came then. The policemen explained that possibility to retrieve my belongings was very slim cos' we couldnt provide with the bike no and the ctry's too big to track down n chrome every bike or owner. So all I could do was to make this report & hopefully some Samaritan could be able to return me some unvaluable stuff to me.
No mood for clubbing.. so just went to Chokdee Timsum to have dinner with the folks b4 getting back to have some rest. This was a really bad experience for me. I have been to Thai so many times and sometimes, just to go downstairs alone to buy food or 7-11. Now, I wouldn't dare to walk alone in Thai anymore. -_- I am so scared now...
